Should I Rent or Should I Buy ?
There is very little financial benefit in a rental program over a leasing program. The only benefit of rental is that a rental contract does not tie up your line of credit. There are however rental programs that will allow you to be the owner of the equipment at the end of the rental period. Companies that have a rental program often retain ownership of the machine at the end of the rental period. In deciding whether to rent or buy, ask yourself these two questions.
a.
Is this machine likely to have any residual value once it is paid off ?
or
b. Is this machine likely to give me satisfactory service for longer that the period of payments?

If the answer to either of these questions is yes then you are better off leasing and eventually owning the machine. Especially if the leasing cost works out to be less than the rental cost.

How much does it really cost to produce one print ?
The answer to this will vary according to the type of paper and chemistry you will use. The difference between the most expensive paper and chemistry and the least is approximately 20%. As an average you can expect the cost of paper and chemistry to be around 11.5 cents per print. The cost of all other consumables including negative sleeving, envelopes, work bags, twin check labels etc. is about 11 cents per roll or about 0.4 of a cent per print.

Are Copycat Technicians Qualified to Service Equipment ?

How much should service cost me ?
With a click charge, the service program is built in. You pay for the service whether you need it or not. In addition the more work your machine does the more you pay for the same level of service. By offering a fixed price preventative maintenance program and a breakdown service program, we can ensure that our customers only pay for the service they need.  A reasonable budget for service costs should be around $2,000 per year.
